My favorite sauce!!!

15 ounce can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 cup water
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1 bay leaf
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Combine everything in a pan and cook over a medium heat until the
sauce comes to a boil.

Turn the heat down and simmer the sauce, covered,
for 35 to 45 minutes or until it has thickened.

Remove the bay leaf and let the sauce cool for a few minutes before using it.

(Enough for 2 pizzas)
