baked spaghetti

A baked spaghetti casserole with plenty of melted cheese is the perfect dish for potlucks, family gatherings, or a week-night dinner.

1 (16 ounce) package spaghetti

1 pound ground beef

1/2 onion, chopped

1/2 green pepper, chopped

1 (32 ounce) jar meatless spaghetti sauce

1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt

4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti in boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through. Drain.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat; cook and stir beef, green pepper, and onion until meat is browned and onions are soft and translucent, about 7 minutes. Drain.

Stir in spaghetti sauce and seasoned salt. Mix spaghetti noodles and sauce together.

Place spaghetti mixture into baking dish. Top with mozzarella.

Bake in oven until the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
