Do you love biscuits? Do you love butter? If yes, chances are you’re going to love these. No rolling, or biscuit cutters. They come out so BIG and FLUFFY! Delicious with your favorite jam, jelly, honey, molasses, or my favorite, butter and brown sugar. Cream together some brown sugar and butter with these and I guarantee you’ll be in biscuit heaven 🙂

1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

4 teaspoons granulated sugar

4 teaspoons baking powder

1 3/4 cup buttermilk

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Spray a 8 inch square baking dish with non-stick spray, melt stick of butter in dish (in microwave or oven).

In a medium bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Pour in the buttermilk.

Stir into a loose dough. Dough will be a bit sticky.

Press biscuit dough into baking dish, with your hands. (right on top of the melted butter) Some of the butter will run over the top of dough, that’s okay.

Take a sharp knife and cut biscuit dough into 9 squares before baking.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, rotating dish once during baking.
